Logo, identity and stationary for VCPORA - Vieux Carré Property Owners, Residents and Associates - a non-profit whose mission is: To preserve the Vieux Carré as a national treasure, to maintain its quaint and distinctive character and to achieve in that historic, living neighborhood a quality of life which can be enjoyed by residents, fellow citizens, businesses and visitors. The Vieux Carré is also known as the French Quarter. The logo was inspired by the wrought iron found through out the neighborhood.

My husband, an architect, may be getting this for Christmas this year!
Here in New Orleans we are on “high alert” for the arrival of tropical depression Lee. So far it’s just gray with the occasional band of rain and wind. I dug up these photos from last year. We had a really hard rain with some street flooding. The date was September 9, 2010. It’s the wet time of the year.
This is the stretch of the Highline I explored when I was in NYC last month. I have a friend who lives a block away from the 23rd Street entrance. If I lived that close I’d be there every day.
